Senior IT Support Specialist

We seek a seasoned Senior IT Support Specialist to spearhead the operation and maintenance of our investment banking applications. The successful candidate will ensure seamless service delivery, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely support to stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for monitoring and incident management of front office and middle office applications within investment banking.
  • Respond promptly to system alerts, incidents, and user-reported issues, investigate root causes, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to applications, databases, and integrations, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and changes in the production environment.
  • Create and update support documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute application releases and updates, conducting impact assessments for proposed changes to production systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supporting business applications, with strong expertise in AWS.
  • Proven track record in a similar role, providing expert technical support for enterprise-level software applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, proficiency in troubleshooting Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, knowledge of programming languages including Shell, Python, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
