Job Overview

As a skilled Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality IT infrastructure support to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of our datacentres, platforms, and corporate systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage AIX Server infrastructure, including server administration, SAN, and storage array management.
  • Implement backup, replication, HA, and recovery technologies to ensure business continuity.
  • Administer and manage all development, UAT, pre-production, production, and DR environments, as well as internal corporate IT systems.

Availability, Performance, Security, Reliability, and Value for Money

Ensure that uptime SLA's are met every month by managing and resolving issues logs, performing scheduled maintenance, and managing third-party support contracts.

Monitor system performance, capacity, and growth to ensure performance SLA's are met every month.

Implement security projects, complete risk assessments, and build guides for new and existing systems to ensure internal and external security.

Business Continuity

Ensure that FNZ-held data is secure and backed up by making regular backups and participating in yearly BCP & DR tests.

Document resilience and backup plans for all new builds.

Training and Development

Develop professional and technical knowledge and skills, and provide technical advice and mentoring within the team.

Project Work and Experience

Implement new projects to meet project timelines and deadlines.

A degree-qualified individual with AIX operating system administration skills, automation scripting knowledge, and experience in implementing infrastructure projects.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, take initiative, drive change, and implement new technologies and methodologies.
