Infrastructure Performance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Performance Specialist to join our News Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical infrastructure.

In this role, you will ensure high availability for our services, play a key role in various migration activities, and work on migrating applications into Kubernetes. Your primary focus will be on configuring and maintaining Elasticsearch and Kafka clusters for optimal performance, availability, and reliability.

You will also be responsible for automating operational tasks, optimizing infrastructure, and proactively resolving issues to maintain system reliability. Collaboration with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams is essential to implement best practices for security, observability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical infrastructure
  • Ensuring high availability for our services
  • Configuring and maintaining Elasticsearch and Kafka clusters for optimal performance and availability
  • Automating operational tasks to optimize infrastructure and improve system reliability
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for security, observability, and scalability

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in SRE roles, focusing on infrastructure performance and reliability
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of security, observability, and scalability principles
