Diesel Engine Technician Position Overview

The role of a Diesel Engine Mechanic is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of diesel generators and related systems. This position requires an individual with extensive knowledge and experience in diesel engine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

This includes performing routine maintenance tasks on diesel generators and related systems, conducting site visits to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards at all times, and maintaining accurate service records and reporting on generator conditions effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular checks and maintenance on diesel generators and related systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough site visits to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently, using diagnostic equipment and techniques as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards at all times, adhering to industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Service Records: Maintain accurate and detailed service records, including generator condition reports and maintenance history.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diesel Engine Mechanical Certificate: A valid certificate in diesel engine mechanics or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
