Job Title:

Troubleshooting and Support Specialist

This position involves providing advanced technical support for complex IP networks, including Juniper M/T/Mx/PTX/ACX series products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 and product escalation support to customers and partners.
  • Troubleshoot complicated hardware and software issues in large IP networks.
  • Manage critical customer escalations and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
  • Be an advocate for timely resolution of problems reported by customers.
  • Take ownership of problem resolution, reproduction, and escalation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science with 25 years of experience supporting/designing/implementing IP networks.
  • Candidates with extensive experience in troubleshooting, implementation, and support of large IP networks are preferred.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent customer handling and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of IP packet flow, OSI layers, Layer 3 IP, and related technologies.
  • Experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP), Layer 2 technologies (Ethernet, VLAN, STP, RSTP), and multicast technologies (NG-MVPN, PIM).
  • Perl/Unix/Expect scripting skills are a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in troubleshooting, implementation, and support of large IP networks (preferably Service Provider).
  • Direct interaction with customers globally is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with platform knowledge: Juniper (routers, switches), Cisco, Nortel, Huawei, traffic generators, protocol analyzers, and testers.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, JNCIS-M, JNCIP-M, JNCIE-M, CCIE-SP.
