**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a seasoned risk management professional to assume the role of Chief Risk Officer. In this critical position, you will play a pivotal part in identifying and mitigating risks across various operational areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing overall audit processes.

As a key member of our team, your expertise will be instrumental in developing strategic risk mitigation plans, assessing internal controls, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive process improvements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Audit Planning and Reporting: Contribute to the development of annual audit plans based on thorough risk assessments and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present audit findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
  • Internal Audits: Plan and execute comprehensive internal audits to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures. Compile audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to address identified issues.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor adherence to regulatory compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and guidelines related to risk management and audit activities.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations and identify potential risks within operational areas. Develop and implement risk assessment frameworks and methodologies to effectively prioritize and mitigate risks.
  • Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies. Provide expert recommendations for enhancing risk management practices and improving internal controls.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to risk management and auditing. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to the improvement of audit methodologies.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with at least 8 years of experience, including 2-3 years of audit-related experience in the mutual fund industry.
  • Professional certification or postgraduate studies such as an MBA are highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk assessment techniques, audit principles, and regulatory requirements applicable to mutual funds.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders, present audit findings, and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies.
