Enterprise Risk Manager Job Description

This role is ideal for a highly skilled risk management professional with a proven track record of identifying and evaluating operational risks. As an Enterprise Risk Manager, you will play a key part in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure the long-term success of our organization.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of operational risk management frameworks, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. They will be responsible for conducting regular risk assessments and reviews, as well as monitoring operational risk indicators and metrics.

In this role, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing risk controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This will involve working closely with various teams across the organization to address risk issues and implement corrective measures.

As an Enterprise Risk Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's risk profile. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify and prioritize risk mitigation initiatives and develop reports to communicate risk-related information to senior management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration. They will also have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in a risk management role, preferably in a financial services environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. You will also need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify and evaluate operational risks across various departments, develop risk assessment frameworks and methodologies, and conduct regular risk assessments and reviews.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans, ensure the implementation of risk controls and compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinate with different teams to address risk issues.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor operational risk indicators and metrics, prepare and present risk reports to senior management, and manage regular Risk meetings with senior Stakeholders and review RCSAs and KRIs.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and updating of operational risk policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in management, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a risk management role, preferably in an NBFC or financial services environment.
  • Skills: Experience in operational risk and knowledge of operational risk management framework, risk identification, risk monitoring, risk mitigation, risk reporting techniques and systems, detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
