IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to maintain and manage our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of our systems, servers, and networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage servers, networks, and systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to servers, networks, and software applications.
  • Implement security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other threats.
  • Regularly update and patch systems to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest security and software enhancements.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and recommend new hardware and software solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Plan and perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an IT professional or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud services, and networking protocols.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and system management.
  • Experience with system monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
