  • Job Title: AS/400 Support Analyst
  • Location: Mumbai
  • Experience: 6 To 10 Years
  • Job Type: Contract to hire.
  • Notice Period: Immediate joiners.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Application Understanding: Familiarize yourself with the AS400 application's business purpose, processes, and functions.
  2. System Architecture: Understand the system architecture diagram of the AS400 application, including its interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems.
  3. Environment Details: Document various AS400 environments (e.g., Production, Pre-prod, Test, Dev), OS levels, and database versions.
  4. Technologies Used: COBOL, RPG programming, DB2 databases, CL commands, and communication protocols specific to AS400.
  5. Code Walkthrough: Perform a walkthrough of complex, critical, or error-prone COBOL, RPG code modules, including customized routines.
  6. Integration: Understand how the AS400 application integrates with other systems.
  7. Monitoring Setup: Knowledge of current monitoring mechanisms, log directories, and housekeeping processes on AS400 servers.
  8. Compliance Requirements: Identify applicable compliance and regulatory requirements for the AS400 system and ensure adherence.
  9. Support Scope: Document dependencies with L2/L3 support teams and interactions with infrastructure teams for AS400.
