Job Title: Cloud Systems Architect

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage, optimize, and secure our data cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud administration, database management, performance tuning, security, and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cloud Administration: Manage cloud accounts, users, roles, and permissions following RBAC principles.
  2. Performance Optimization: Monitor query performance, optimize warehouses, and tune workloads to ensure efficient execution.
  3. Data Management: Oversee databases, schemas, tables, and data pipelines in the cloud.
  4. Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices including encryption, data masking, network policies, and audit logging.
  5. Automation: Develop scripts for monitoring, alerting, and automating administrative tasks (SQL, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  6. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Track warehouse utilization, storage, and query performance; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  7. Cost Optimization: Manage compute and storage costs by monitoring consumption and implementing optimization strategies.
  8. Upgrades & Maintenance: Apply patches, monitor updates, and ensure minimal downtime.
  9. Integration: Support integrations with ETL/ELT tools, BI platforms, and cloud services.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a cloud administrator.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of cloud features, database management, and performance tuning.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integrations.
