About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Luxury Furniture Sales and Store Operations Leader to join our team at Alankaram in Hyderabad, India.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing day-to-day store operations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. They will have a strong sales acumen, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for luxury furniture and design.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and grow revenue.
    • Identify new sales opportunities, build relationships with architects, designers, builders, and other potential clients.
    • Oversee customer interactions and ensure high conversion rates from store visits to sales.
    • Lead and support the sales team in preparing and presenting customized quotes, follow-ups, and closing deals.
    • Track and analyze sales data, trends, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies as needed.
    • Organize promotional events, exhibitions, and store visits to attract potential clients and boost sales.
  • Customer Experience:
    • Ensure that all customers have a premium shopping experience that aligns with Alankaram's brand values.
    • Train staff to deliver exceptional customer service, addressing queries, resolving complaints, and providing design consultations.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop customer-centric campaigns to promote the store's unique offerings.
  • Store Management:
    • Oversee the store's daily operations, including inventory management, product displays, cleanliness, and maintenance.
    • Ensure optimal stock levels, track product availability, and manage incoming and outgoing inventory with accuracy.
    • Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on new arrivals and trends to guide customers effectively.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage store staff, fostering a positive work culture and setting clear performance goals.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, provide training sessions on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, and support to meet individual and team objectives.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with the marketing, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure product availability, promotional campaigns, and new launches are effectively represented.
    • Maintain regular communication with the headquarters in Pithampur to report on store performance, challenges, and customer feedback.
    • Coordinate with the operations team to address any logistical or product-related issues promptly.
  • Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
    • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the luxury furniture segment.
    • Use market insights to make data-driven recommendations for sales strategies and customer engagement.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
    • Prepare and present periodic sales reports, including KPIs, sales conversion rates, customer footfall, and feedback.
    • Monitor store expenses and optimize costs while maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales revenue growth and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Customer conversion rates and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Effective inventory management with minimal discrepancies.
  • Staff productivity, training compliance, and retention.
  • Execution and success of promotional activities/events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in sales and store management, preferably in the luxury furniture or home decor industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics, and inventory management systems.
  • A keen eye for design and a passion for luxury furniture and interiors.

Compensation:

Competitive salary of ₹25-35 lakhs per annum, with performance-based incentives.
