Business Development Manager Position

This is a dynamic opportunity to lead a sales team and drive business growth by establishing strategic partnerships with various financial institutions. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and developing effective strategies to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a sales team to augment the Business Correspondent network of various financial institutions and Direct channel business.
  • Build strategic partnerships with Universal Banks, NBFCs, NBFC-MFIs, Payment Banks, and Small Finance Banks to provide an array of financial products and services for the channel partners.
  • Develop business development and expansion plans for business correspondence alliance partners.
  • Innovate and develop retail asset products such as JLG Loans, Secured and Unsecured MSME Loans to suit target customers and geographies.
  • Implement sales strategies to improve market share and identify business potential areas/districts for regional expansion.
  • Enable business growth by developing and managing teams across assigned territories for deeper market penetration and reach.
  • Evaluate potential client base and product acceptability in new regions, areas, and opportunities for geographical expansion of operational areas and setting up new business correspondence alliance partners.
  • Maintain business growth and diversity of products in the region as per business plan.
  • Create a support function structure in line with product requirements to facilitate appraisal, documentation, disbursement, repayment, and delinquency management.
  • Formulate collection strategy for your region and take preventative/risk-averse measures to maintain quality portfolio.
  • Plan/design sales contests at regional levels.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor and guide loan officers.
  • Be responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, and training suited to handle various asset products across geographies.
  • Ensure staff skill development through meetings and continuous monitoring of various clusters on a regular basis by identifying training needs as per market trends and new business opportunities.
  • Maintain resource optimisation and operational cost.
  • Identify branches in your designated area of operation.
  • Be responsible for handling all compliance, audit, legal, customer service, operations, logistics, admin, HR-related issues in your region.
  • Implement best business practices and develop company strategies and programs while ensuring strict compliance and integrity.
