Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced geotechnical engineer to lead our team. As a key member, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in geotechnical engineering for our large-scale open pit mine operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead, supervise and manage entire activities in the geotechnical domain, including geotechnical study, preparation of pre-feasibility and feasibility reports, stability analysis, simulation modeling, and slope stabilization and monitoring.
  • To prepare and implement schemes derived from simulation models for implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of geotechnical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain geotechnical documentation, including reports, presentations, and technical notes.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Geological Science, Geology, Applied Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in open pit mining.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, including rock mechanics, soil mechanics, and structural analysis.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
