Job Opportunity

The position of Oracle Database Administrator involves overseeing the end-to-end migration lifecycle across assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive migration strategies to ensure zero/near-zero downtime, HA/DR compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and design Oracle database migrations across various setups.
  • Implement data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration, leveraging tools like Rubrik and RMAN.
  • Monitor database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and proactively address any issues.
  • Optimize database size and performance through data purging and archival strategies.
Required Skills:
  • 12+ years of experience in Oracle Database administration, with 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure.
  • Experience in data retention policies, compliance, and security measures for regulated environments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of GoldenGate for real-time replication.
  • Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible for IaC-based DB provisioning.
  • Experience in hybrid migration scenarios (on-prem to Exadata, Exadata to ExaCC, ExaCC to cloud).
