IBM iSeries System Developer Role Overview
\We are seeking a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in IBM iSeries system development to fill this critical position.
\The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience working with IBM iSeries systems in large-scale enterprise environments. They should be proficient in designing, developing, testing, and implementing IBM iSeries solutions using RPGLE, CLLE programming, and ILE.
\A good understanding of DB2 for iSeries is essential, including SQL optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling. Additionally, the candidate should have solid experience with iSeries system integration technologies such as API, MQ, XML, and FTP.
\Knowledge of Agile software development methodology and DevSecOps technologies like CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible, and G3 is desirable. Strong English writing and communication skills are also necessary, along with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
\While not required, familiarity with Java or Python for hybrid application development would be an advantage.
