Diagnostic Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing diagnostic content for automotive systems, including engine management, electric and hybrid systems, brake control, infotainment, ADAS, transmission, HVAC, and airbags. You will analyze vehicle communication bus logs using various analyzers, simulate automotive systems using simulator solutions, and design and create workflow or test sequences using IDEs like BDX or Grade-X.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement diagnostic content for automotive systems.
  • Analyze vehicle communication bus logs using various analyzers.
  • Simulate automotive systems using simulator solutions.
  • Design and create workflow or test sequences using IDES like BDX or Grade-X.
  • Evaluate OE diagnostic data, derive useful insights, and implement the same in target testers.
  • On-vehicle validation of implemented diagnostic content and creation of test reports.
  • Benchmarking and reverse engineering of aftersales & aftermarket diagnostic testers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong vehicle system knowledge, including sub-systems and components.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles and make them roadworthy.
  • Ability to understand OE system description, service and repair manuals.
  • Ability to independently handle diagnostic testers.
  • Ability to handle diagnostic testers like VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, Zenith etc.

Benefits:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in aftersales vehicle service, diagnostics and troubleshooting preferably in OEM dealerships/workshops.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive diagnostic content development.
  • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech-Automobile/Mechanical degree.

Others:

  • Good knowledge on wiring diagrams and conventions.
  • Good knowledge of Bosch Aftermarket Diagnostic Tool - ESI [tronic].
  • Sound knowledge on CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, J1939.
  • Good knowledge on BDX-Bosch Data Extension.
  • Experience with analyzer & simulation tools from Vector or Samtec e.g., HSX, HS+ etc.
  • Experience with Diag Help Tool.
  • Handling of various OEM testers.
  • Good to have skills:
    • Good to have knowledge/experience in Programming languages.
    • Good to have IMSIS+ knowledge.
