About the Role

Caterpillar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Industry Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers, customers, and other Caterpillar personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide sales guidance and support to dealers, including forecasting, sales and rental strategy planning, and sales techniques.
  • Analyze and communicate market and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers.
  • Develop and implement sales programs to increase sales and maximize price realization.
  • Stay up-to-date on customer and dealer market needs and understand how and why decisions are made within the work group and organization.
  • Apply knowledge of products, technology, and industry to support Caterpillar, dealer, and customer expectations and needs.

Requirements

  • A college or university degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 to 8 years prior experience in field assignments and demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively with others.
  • Incumbents will have demonstrated ability to work on increasingly complex assignments and provide direction to lower-level reps on project assignments.
