Senior Sales Data Strategist

Job Description

Experience: 6+ years, Proven expertise in Sales Operations and Data Analysis.

We are seeking a highly skilled data-driven sales strategist to join our analytics team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving business growth by leveraging insights from sales metrics and developing strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:
    • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical models to monitor sales metrics, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights on merchant acquisition, retention, growth, and regional performance.
  • Strategic Insights & Recommendations:
    • Analyse sales data, market trends, and workflows to identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency, and revenue growth. Present clear and actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Forecasting & Planning Support:
    • Support forecasting, capacity planning, and target setting by leveraging statistical models, historical data, and market intelligence for accurate projections.
  • Data Infrastructure & Tools:
    • Partner with data engineering and BI teams to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and scalable solutions. Use SQL, Python, and visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) for data extraction and presentation.
  • Sales Funnel Optimization:
    • Analyse funnel performance, conversion rates, and sales cycle efficiency to identify bottlenecks and recommend process enhancements.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis:
    • Conduct deep-dive analysis to address specific business questions and provide timely data-driven insights for critical decisions.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in SQL
  • Advanced experience with Tableau (dashboarding, reporting, visual analytics)
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation/transformations (DataFrames, Pandas, NumPy)
  • Experience in Sales Operations (Salesforce CRM preferred)

Apart from the core skills, we expect you to possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
