Job Summary:

Emerson is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Lead to lead the software development and configuration in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience in leading teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the detail design, implementation, and test of MES solutions for MES projects based on Emerson MES platform - Syncade.
  • Design, implement, and test a full stack of Syncade MES technologies.
  • Engage with project collaborators, customers/users, conduct workshops to gather and analyze requirements, define functional requirements, and review software solutions.
  • Work with Solution Architects/SMEs to ensure that functional design and development aligns with user requirements, solution, and guidelines and standards.
  • Develop Webpart, Batch Reports, and Integration with L2, L3, and L4 systems.
  • Create and maintain required documentation for the project execution.
  • Proactively manage communications within the team.
  • Plan and organize the work of a project team and report progress status.
  • Identify, support to manage the risk, and ensures prompt resolution of issues and removing roadblocks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience in software development.
  • Full-life cycle implementation acting in key functional roles such as Lead of an IT project.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and JIRA/Azure.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Skills - C#, WCF, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, Web Services response and requests, XML(Xpaths), UML XSLT, Database: MS SQL Server, Tools: Visual Studio, VB editor, SQL profiler, SOAP UI tool, Project tracking tools - TFS/Jira.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and approaches.
  • Persistence, self-motivation, follow-through, and commitment.
  • Great teammate who builds and maintains positive team member relations.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Computers/Electronics/Instrumentation from a reputed university.
  • MSC Computers from reputed university or Master's or equivalent experience in Computer Applications (MCA).
  • 6-8 years of proven work experience and having worked as Software developer with experience as Software Lead.
  • Experience in MES (Syncade/Werum PASX/Rockwell Pharma Suite/Opcenter/Camstar) and Life Sciences industry is a plus but not required.
  • Able to travel in India at customer sites and Globally as needed.
