System Administration is a critical function in today's cloud-based IT environment. As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our cloud infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced professional to administer our AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources.

Azure based systems too has its complexity due to various Azure services that vary in IaaS and PaaS models which the selected candidate should be able to manage efficiently.

The selected candidate must also be skilled in developing and maintaining high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, utilizing backup software such as Veeam, AWS Snapshots, Commvault, and Backup Exec. Additionally, they should be able to analyze system performance, identify trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.

Utilization of monitoring platforms like Datadog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold is necessary for this position. Furthermore, the candidate should be well-versed in security best practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Okta.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.

This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment are necessary. Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  2. Implementing and managing automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources.
  3. Developing and maintaining high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using backup software.
  4. Analyzing system performance, identifying trends, and implementing improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  5. Maintaining security best practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments.

Essential Skills:
• Cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
• Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
