Key Responsibilities:
  • We design, architect and manage enterprise networks and network equipment. We also stay up to date with network vendor technologies.
  • Enterprise Network Engineers administer Cisco network equipment including routers, switches, access points and controllers.
  • Cisco network engineers configure, monitor and troubleshoot enterprise network equipment.
  • We resolve complex issues involving a wide range of technologies.
  • Our team supports the installation and configuration of Cisco Voice Gateways, Integrated Services Routers (ISRs), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) routers, analog gateways and other infrastructure equipment.
  • Network engineers collaborate with carriers to configure and troubleshoot Internet, MPLS, SD-WAN, and other WAN circuits and equipment.
  • Mentor junior network engineers for professional development.
  • Evaluate network compliance with industry standards such as PCI and HIPAA.
  • Provide on-call support for production systems ensuring business continuity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems that occur in network operations.
  • Perform system administration tasks for continuous day-to-day system operations.
  • Utilize tools like Ansible, Solarwinds, and others for configuration management and automation.
  • Develop and maintain accurate network documentation and records.
  • Engage in Agile/Scrum processes for IT systems team participation and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external contacts and stakeholders.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for outages and develop standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience with Cisco routers, switches, routing protocols and other network equipment is necessary.
  • Experience implementing Cisco ISE and using Cisco DNA Center is highly preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of SD-WAN, SDN, VMware, Docker, AWS, IaC, NaC, Python and Ansible is beneficial.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification is mandatory; Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certification is highly desirable.
