Cloud Network Architect Leader

This is an in-depth technical role requiring strong leadership skills with 80% technical and 20% managerial capabilities.

The ideal candidate has proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Data Center networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless. A strong understanding of WAN & Routing technologies, Security technologies, Switching, QoS, Network monitoring Protocols & Tools, and SDN Technologies is necessary.

Key responsibilities include architecting, designing, installing, maintaining, and managing the equipment needed to provide Cloud Network Infrastructure. This includes physical and SDN network framework, ensuring high availability, flexibility, and network performance while maintaining SLA. The successful candidate will also maintain, audit, review, and update infrastructure documentation, work collaboratively with the client and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests, oversee a team of Network Engineers, provide technical expertise and guidance, evaluate team member performance, and prepare differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless.
  • Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies (Leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN etc.), Security technologies (Firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies), Switching (VLANs, VXLAN LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q), and QoS.
  • Familiarity with Network monitoring Protocols & Tools (SNMP, NetFlow , Zabbix, PRTG etc.) and good knowledge of SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience on any one of the SDN provider – VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco etc.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems, highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.
  • Motivated learner – ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies, experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.
  • Hands-on expertise on CloudStack networking is a bonus attribute.
