Director Position

The Director plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the overall college, guiding staff members under senior management and aligning with group philosophy, culture, values, and vision.

Key responsibilities include managing educational programs efficiently, integrating college plans with university objectives, and ensuring seamless administration.

Academic Leadership
  • Develops, implements, and maintains academic strategies for the institution.
  • Establishes necessary policies and procedures to ensure faculty offerings meet high standards.
  • Responsible for planning, renewing, and developing academic programs to guarantee quality and effectiveness.
  • Collaborates closely with faculty and staff to monitor progress towards achieving academic goals.
  • Fosters student participation in national/international education programs to enhance their exposure.
  • Ensures learning objectives align with industry requirements.
  • Maintains and develops assessment frameworks.
  • Proposes and manages academic budgets to support essential activities.
Research Programs
  • Develops and implements research policies according to guidelines.
  • Establishes processes and structures to facilitate high-quality research.
  • Initiates and promotes ethically accountable research, increasing research outcomes.
  • Creates a dynamic and forward-looking research environment for staff and students.
  • Mentors faculty to focus on research program development.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensures institute policies and procedures comply with statutory guidelines.
  • Enforces decisions and policies as per regulatory body guidelines.
  • Guarantees that all academic programs attain or maintain appropriate accreditation standards.
  • Maintains liaison with alumni, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Participates actively in investigations/audits as mandated.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Enhances the school's visibility in academics by participating actively.
  • Contributes fully to financial activities of the school.
  • Mentors and coaches the academic team to prepare students for placement.
  • Interfaces with industry leaders to provide insights about the school's academic curriculum.
  • Plans and executes seminars, programs, and webinars to enrich academics.
Primary Key Result Areas (KRAs):
  • Effective Delivery of Academic Programs/Courses
  • Satisfactory Conduct of Co/Extra Curricular activities & campus discipline
  • Responsible for overall Academic Process Quality
  • Annual Recognition (AICTE);
  • Periodical Accreditation (National and International- ACBSP/NBA); Periodical Equivalence (AIU)
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree with exceptional academic credentials throughout, including a Ph.D. degree from a reputable institution.
Experience/Knowledge:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 3 Years shall be at the level of Professor, or 13 Years of experience in research/industry
  • Post Ph.D. publications and guiding PHD students are highly desirable
  • Knowledge of best practices and research in curriculum, assessment, and instruction
  • Well-acquainted with various Accreditation Agencies and Statutory bodies, and their procedures.
  • Strong linkages and network with industry and academics.
  • Industry experience at an eminent position will be preferred
