Anti-Fraud Specialist

This role involves analyzing transaction data, investigating fraud cases, and communicating with stakeholders to resolve disputes in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

A strong analytical mind is required for this position, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fraud analysis and a solid understanding of card network rules and dispute management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Review and Resolution: Conduct thorough investigations and resolve fraud and dispute cases efficiently.
  • Transaction Analysis: Analyze transaction data and supporting documentation to determine case validity and liability.
  • Dispute Management: Prepare and submit dispute case files, representments, and supporting evidence within required timeframes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal teams, issuing banks, acquirers, and merchants to ensure timely resolution of disputes.
  • Fraud Trend Identification: Identify patterns and emerging fraud trends, escalating insights to fraud prevention teams.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reporting of dispute activities for compliance and audit purposes.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in fraud analysis or a related field.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of card network rules and dispute management processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include experience working in financial institutions, fintechs, or payment processors, knowledge of both issuer and acquirer dispute processes, and professional certifications in fraud or payments (e.g., CFE, CAFP).
