Job Title: Expert Malware Investigator

Overview:

This role combines hands-on research, analysis, and detection development with architectural vision and cross-functional collaboration.

  • We are looking for an experienced Expert Malware Investigator to investigate emerging threats and design novel detection approaches.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of programming fundamentals including encode/decode (Base 64) and cryptography (encryption/decryption).
  • They must also have experience with static and dynamic analysis reverse engineering fundamentals.
  • Additionally, they should have experience with one of the following tools: Decompilers (IDA Pro, Ghidra), Disassemblers (Smali/Baksmali), Debugging Tools (ADB, JDWP).
  • The successful candidate will have strong communication and technical writing skills.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 Years of combined practical experience with malware analysis or reverse engineering.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix Command-Line.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sophisticated malware, identifying malicious code, obfuscation techniques, and communication protocols.
  • Develop and optimize generic threat detection strategies based on static and dynamic detection engines.
  • Perform proactive and reactive threat hunting to identify detection issues from large-scale datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive exceptional customer experiences and ensure comprehensive protection.
