Job Title: Payroll Operations Specialist

 

Job Description

The primary function of this role is to process payroll accurately and on time for all employees. This involves maintaining payroll records and employee data in HRIS/payroll systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Additionally, the successful candidate will coordinate with HR for employee onboarding/offboarding, promotions, and other payroll-impacting changes. They will also handle payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, bonuses, and other compensation-related components.

Responsibilities include preparing payroll reports for internal use and external audits, responding to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and earnings, and collaborating with Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts.

Other key responsibilities include assisting with year-end activities such as tax form distribution (e.g., W-2) and staying updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations.

 Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, SAP).
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and payroll compliance regulations.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
