Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous professional to join our Finance team as an Accounting Specialist. This role focuses on General Ledger Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and supporting Month-End Close processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition and accounting compliance with US GAAP/applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and submit general ledger entries with supporting documentation.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support audit processes by preparing required schedules and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor appropriate financial policies, controls, and processes.
  • Prepare management ad-hoc financial analysis, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years proven working experience in accounting
  • Strong technology skills, with expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Working experience in Sage Intacct is a plus
  • Flexibility to work in UK/US time zone
  • Prior experience managing project work with tight deadlines
