We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Retail Manager – General Trade to spearhead our sales efforts in the general trade segment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a team. This role is tailored for a sales-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and achieve sales targets for the general trade channel by leading and motivating a Sales team across regions.
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company objectives, ensuring consistent growth in revenue and market share.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management for the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, achievement, and collaboration.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to penetrate new markets and increase brand presence in the general trade segment.
- Identify and onboard new retail stores, ensuring optimal coverage and product placement in the general trade market, as & when needed.
- Build and expand a network of distributors, negotiating terms and fostering long-term partnerships to ensure seamless product availability and delivery.
- Monitor sales performance, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and address challenges.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with trade partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and market understanding.
- Address and resolve operational and logistical challenges in collaboration with internal stakeholders and trade partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of proven experience in general trade sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, or e-commerce sectors.
- Demonstrated success in store onboarding, distributor onboarding, and team management.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in sales analytics and reporting tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with minimal supervision.
Estimated Salary: ₹ 1,200,000 - ₹ 1,800,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
