JOB SUMMARY:

  • Lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems PLC SCADA MES with enterprise IT systems ERP databases cloud
  • Develop and maintain secure efficient data exchange using REST APIs MQTT and OPC UA protocols
  • Manage industrial databases SQL historian time-series databases for high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics
  • Troubleshoot optimize and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong background in MES functions production tracking OEE downtime analysis traceability SPC etc
  • Proficiency with database technologies SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems PLC SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95 ISA88 ISA99 IEC 62443
  • Excellent problem-solving communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms Azure IoT AWS IoT etc
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments
  • Familiarity with containerization Docker Kubernetes for SCADA/MES deployments
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects
  • Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications
