Director of Risk Management and Quality Assurance

This role is a key position in the organization, responsible for leading the risk management and quality assurance function. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the quality assurance function to ensure that processes are optimized and risk-based judgements are applied effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address risk areas and develop effective solutions.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in risk management and quality assurance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure that the function is meeting its objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in risk management and quality assurance, preferably in a financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including AML/CTF regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on mitigating risks and improving process efficiency.
  • Knowledge of banking products, processes, and systems, with an understanding of the implications of non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
