Accounting Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in financial reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable management, forecasting, budgeting, and customer billing.

  • Qualifications: 4-8 years of professional accounting experience, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent experience, Proficient with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks or Tally.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure business transactions are accurately recorded and reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Collaborate closely with team members to facilitate payables and receivables. Assist with the annual audit process, including the preparation of financial statements and related notes.

Analyze expense variances for management decision-making. Effectively manage Accounts Payable & Receivable processes. Provide critical financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing detailed reports.

Enter asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Document financial transactions by recording account details.

Recommend financial actions by evaluating accounting options. Summarize current financial status by collecting and analyzing relevant data to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

Validate financial transactions by auditing supporting documents. Maintain accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.

Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and addressing questions. Resolve financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account information.

Safeguard financial information by completing regular database backups. Adhere to internal controls to maintain financial security.

Process payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements. Respond to accounting procedure inquiries by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.

Comply with federal, state, and local financial regulatory requirements by staying informed about existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.

Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect operational integrity.
