Job Opportunity: Accounting Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliations and Transaction Management:
    • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate transaction recording.
    • Identify discrepancies between bank statements and company records, resolving them promptly.
    • Maintain a timely record of all transactions for smooth accounting operations.
  • Financial Entry and Record Keeping:
    • Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in compliance with accounting principles.
    • Accurately maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
    • Ensure timely posting of transactions in the accounting system.
    • Verify general ledger balances for accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Additional Financial Support Functions:
    • Address urgent financial or accounting queries as needed.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for effective financial operations.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and financial management are necessary.
    • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and accounting principles is essential.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Unit4, Zoho, or SAP) is mandatory.
    • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in other financial reporting tools are required.
    • Familiarity with IFRS / Ind AS standards is beneficial.
