We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Operations Specialist with a focus on Payroll and Compliance at Peoplemint Consultants in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing payroll processes, ensuring adherence to legal requirements, and maintaining HR data integrity.

This role requires a strong understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and benefits administration, along with the ability to provide support to the HR team and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Management:

Process and manage end-to-end payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies. Oversee payroll reconciliation and resolve any payroll discrepancies. Coordinate with external vendors for payroll outsourcing (if applicable).

  • Compliance and Legal Adherence:

Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, including tax filings, employee benefits, and labor relations. Stay up to date on changes in employment law, tax regulations, and HR compliance requirements. Maintain proper records for statutory benefits and filing requirements, including Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, Employee State Insurance (ESI), and other relevant policies. Ensure timely submission of all compliance-related documents, reports, and payments.

  • HR Operations Support:

Assist with the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring that all employee documentation is in place. Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) accurately. Collaborate with the HR team on audits and internal controls related to employee data and payroll processes.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

Generate and present payroll-related reports for management review, including tax deductions, benefits contributions, and other payroll-related data. Provide insights and recommendations on improving payroll processes, compliance, and employee satisfaction. Conduct regular payroll audits to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.

  • Employee Benefits Administration:

Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits. Provide support to employees with benefit-related queries, clarifications, and claims processing.

  • Employee Relations and Query Resolution:

Act as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries or issues. Resolve any payroll disputes, discrepancies, or compliance concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Process Improvement and Automation:

Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and accuracy of HR operations and payroll processes. Work with the HR team to implement automation or new tools for payroll, benefits, and compliance tracking.
