Energy Storage Expert

We seek an Energy Storage Expert to lead our team in the design and implementation of battery-based energy storage systems. The successful candidate will oversee electrical system design, ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations, and stay updated on current battery technologies.

  1. Design electrical systems for battery-based energy storage, including PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs.
  2. Familiarize yourself with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.
  3. Conduct due diligence and owner's engineer tasks, reviewing technical documents and installations for compliance.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current battery technologies and their characteristics, relating them to battery parameters.
  5. Develop and implement FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems.
  6. Conduct technical reviews of vendor-provided documents.
  7. Manage bids and projects throughout their lifecycle.
  8. Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in BESS.
  2. Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field. PhD candidates are also welcome.
  3. Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  4. At least three years of electrical knowledge/training experience in BESS.
  5. Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  7. Strong client management, team management, and process management skills.
  8. Knowledge of other electrical and PV software is an added advantage.
