Job Title: Business Performance Improvement Lead

Description:

  • To lead the financial governance function with a focus on strengthening business performance analysis, overseeing audits, risk management, compliance, and developing robust financial processes for strategic decision-making.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, expertise in audit, risk management, compliance, and financial governance, experience in process improvement within Finance & Accounts, business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities, effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills, and proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial analytics tools.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role handling financial governance functions is essential. The candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role and 10-15 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Compliance, specifically in FMCG.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead periodic reviews to track financial and operational performance.
  • Analyze variances in revenue, costs, and profitability, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and strategic insights for leadership.
  • Lead internal audits of processes, financial transactions, and compliance parameters.
  • Identify control gaps, prepare audit reports, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Strengthen internal control frameworks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Proactively manage financial and operational risks impacting business objectives.
  • Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key Finance & Accounts processes to ensure standardization, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor, evaluate, and improve performance across Finance & Accounts functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process effectiveness and governance standards.
  • Support leadership with ad-hoc analyses and decision-support metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to build strong financial analytical, audit, and compliance capabilities within the function.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant or Cost Accounting or MBA in Finance.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership role handling financial governance functions.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role and 10-15 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Compliance, specifically in FMCG.
