Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Associate in GST Advisory & Litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent English language skills, and 2-4 years of experience in indirect tax advisory/litigation.

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Law School graduate with a strong academic track record.
  • Excellent English language skills, including fluency in conversation.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in Indirect Tax Advisory/Litigation post qualification.
Main Responsibilities:
  • In-depth analysis and research of legal provisions.
  • Drafting of expert opinions and compliance reports.
  • Preparation of engaging presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars.
  • Analysis of client data for estimating tax impact on business transactions.
  • Identifying the most tax-efficient business models through scenario building.
  • Contributing to industry publications and thought leadership pieces.
  • Client service delivery and execution, with a focus on proactive issue identification and discussion with clients.
  • Handling tax matters, including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and representation before tax authorities.
  • Managing multiple clients and assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
  • Developing relationships with middle-level client management and enhancing commercial acumen.
  • Staying up-to-date with firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
  • Applying knowledge to deliver solutions that add value to clients and managers.
Networking and Identification of Opportunities:
  • Identifying new opportunities for existing clients and communicating these to senior management.
  • Navigating internal networks within the peer group and other levels of the organization to gain insights on issues impacting clients.
  • Compiling legal databases and contributing to study sessions while staying current with latest legal developments such as circulars, notifications, and decisions.
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and guiding them on their work.

Note: Preference will be given to candidates with shorter notice periods.
