Teaching and Capacity Building Specialist

The main goal of this position is to enhance teaching skills and contribute to capacity building in STEM education. As a specialist, you will work closely with teachers, teams, and other stakeholders to develop high-quality programs and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Design and implement workshops, courses, and capacity building programs for teachers in STEM, incorporating progressive pedagogical and adult learning methodologies.

  • Capacity Building Planning: Prepare program plans in STEM and provide inputs for the preparation of academic calendars.

  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with subject teams for planning and executing STEM programs.

  • Evaluation and Improvement: Analyze feedback from training programs and incorporate it into subsequent trainings.

  • Content Development: Develop program frameworks, teaching plans, and workshop modules based on national and international reference materials.

  • Resource Management: Strengthen the Resource Centre and develop subject-specific resources, including teacher manuals and interactive models.

  • Research and Development: Develop research-based content and instructions to achieve workshop goals and objectives.

  • School Visits and Direct Intervention: Regularly observe classroom sessions and plan on-site support for selected teachers.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Document progress, prepare reports, and submit them as required.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, team members, and other stakeholders to perform assigned tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience in capacity-building programs in Teacher Education.

  • Qualification: M.Sc. (Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry), B.Ed or an equivalent degree.
