Job Overview

This role entails overseeing Currency Management tasks for business and providing support to Commercial Managers in identifying foreign currency risks.

  • We are seeking a Senior professional who will serve as the primary point of contact for all Currency Management tasks, working closely with Commercial Managers to identify and mitigate foreign currency risks.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, enabling them to assess risk mitigation strategies and provide expert advice on hedging.
  • They will be responsible for collating foreign currency exposure data from business teams, reviewing project cash flows with Commercial Managers, and initiating consolidated hedge requests to Fx Traders.
  • A key aspect of this role is monitoring outstanding hedge positions and providing timely updates to Fx Traders to initiate rollovers or cancellations based on changes in underlying exposures and expected cash flow.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying and hedging Balance Sheet exposures in line with company policy, as well as providing rates for offer calculation to business teams and monitoring significant contingent foreign currency exposure.
  • Another critical responsibility is reporting Net Foreign Currency Position on a monthly basis and quarterly foreign currency & commodity exposure & hedging status to senior management.
  • Additionally, they will advise Commercial Managers on Hedge Accounting applications and accounting impacts of foreign currency transactions, as well as supporting the identification of Embedded Derivatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Stakeholders by building transparency and trust across partners; collaborate effectively with business teams and regional currency management teams.
  • Implement standard methodologies, focusing on digitalization and automation.
  • Oversee all Insurable risks and manage insurance service providers.
  • Provide guidance to business on Insurance regulations and optimal coverage.
  • Define and maintain processes for quick reporting and settlement of claims.
  • Ensure adherence to insurance-related regulations.
  • Place insurable risk in external markets, ensuring transparency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely payment of insurance premiums and support stakeholders in identifying new risks.
