Job Title: Plant IT Systems Director

This role will oversee the management of the entire IT infrastructure, applications and systems within a medium to large scale formulations or API manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heading IT operations in similar facilities with proven track records of effective system implementation, maintenance, and enhancement.

  • Directing the design, installation, configuration, and management of servers to ensure optimal performance for reliable plant operations.
  • Managing active and passive networking components including switches, routers, firewalls, and cable systems.
  • Evaluating and enhancing existing systems to align with industry regulations and standards particularly those relevant to GxP standards.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of various internal functions like production, engineering, quality control, and warehouse within the manufacturing facility.

A strong understanding of pharmaceutical processes and their importance on product quality and safety is essential. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring all IT systems comply with relevant industry regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing robust infrastructure and systems to support internal functions.
  • Overseeing the installation and management of servers, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to IT systems providing timely support to minimize disruptions.
  • Handling data backup of critical systems using online backup systems such as Veeam and Acronics.
  • Assessing systems gaps applicable to user management, data backup, hardware, software, and implementing corrective actions.
