Lead Operations in Shared Services

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of finance-related services across multiple African markets.

  • Manage and lead a team within the shared services center to ensure high-quality operational delivery of core finance processes.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance service quality, cost efficiency, and process automation through standardization and simplification.
  • Establish robust KPI dashboards and governance routines to monitor SLAs and drive compliance with agreed metrics.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the outsourced India-based shared services center, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial services.
  2. Collaborate with country finance teams and regional financial controllers to align shared services support with local requirements.
  3. Build strong relationships with vendor partners and third-party service providers supporting shared services.
  4. Develop and lead a high-performing team within the Shared Services center, ensuring succession planning and talent development.
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements in line with IFRS and company policies.
  • Support the Head – Finance in financial analysis and business performance management.
  • Coordinate with country finance teams to ensure consistency and integrity of financial data.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in finance, shared services, preferably in automotive distribution or related sectors.
  • Strong expertise in audit, tax, and financial control across African markets.
Competencies Required
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations with cross-border reporting lines.
  • High resilience, problem-solving skills, and ability to drive change in complex environments.
