ETL Tester Position

This ETL tester role focuses on ensuring the quality and accuracy of data as it moves through the ETL process, from source systems to data warehouses or other target destinations.

  • Designing and executing test plans, test cases, and scripts for ETL processes, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Verifying data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across different systems (source, staging, and target) using SQL and other tools.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects, issues, and risks related to ETL processes, and collaborating with developers to resolve them.
  • Working closely with developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that the ETL system meets business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proficiency in SQL for data validation and querying is required.
  2. Experience with data validation and reconciliation across different systems is necessary.
  3. Knowledge of ETL tools, such as Informatica, Talend, etc., is preferred.
  4. Automated testing skills are highly valued.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts is essential.
  • 6+ years of experience in ETL testing is required.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data mapping is beneficial.
