Human Resources Manager Job Summary

This is a key role that will play a crucial part in driving business success by effectively managing the workforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, employee engagement and relations, policy compliance, compensation and payroll, as well as HR systems and reporting.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing end-to-end recruitment strategies tailored to meet the needs of the organization. This includes identifying staffing needs, cultivating a robust talent pipeline, and partnering with store leadership to ensure timely and effective hiring processes.

Training & Development

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for designing and facilitating training programs focused on product knowledge, customer interaction, and brand storytelling. This will include conducting onboarding programs, establishing a culture of continuous learning, and providing ongoing support to employees.

Performance Management

The Human Resources Manager will oversee the implementation of performance appraisal systems, ensuring that employee goals are aligned with business objectives. This will include conducting regular reviews, providing feedback and coaching, and supporting leaders in building high-performing teams.

Employee Engagement & Relations

Policy Compliance & Governance

The Human Resources Manager will ensure full compliance with all applicable labor regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This will include revising HR policies, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining confidentiality.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits

Key Attributes & Skills:
  • Strong grasp of the cultural, operational, and consumer nuances of South jewellery retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities with high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to balance traditional brand values with modern HR practices
  • Hands-on experience managing staff across multiple showrooms or locations
  • Proficiency in HRMS, attendance systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
Educational Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field
  • Certifications in HR strategy or employee engagement are advantageous
