We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable function, overseeing vendor payments, team operations, process improvement, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all payments, vendor invoices, and expense reports.

  • Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and monitor payables policies and procedures for efficiency, compliance, and control.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing accounts payable team, including hiring, training, goal setting, and ongoing development.
  • Invoice Review: Review, validate, and approve invoices; ensure adherence to company policies, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Relationships: Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment disputes or queries.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reconciliations; oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for payables.
  • Process Optimization: Optimize payables processes, automation, and risk prevention controls.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and report on payables metrics: aging, cash flow, forecasts, and performance.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, treasury, and accounting teams to ensure alignment and timely payments.
  • Support: Support financial audits with documentation and process narratives.
  • Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in payables efficiency, quality, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of accounts payable experience with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong expertise in payables processes, team leadership, and compliance management.
  • Technology: Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced MS Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
