Job Description

As a strategic procurement leader, you will oversee daily procurement operations processes including conversion of purchase requests to purchase orders, fixed asset creation and capitalization, supplier re-certification, contract development, and system updates.

You will contribute to key performance indicators of the team, such as service level agreement, quality, and efficiency.

Collaborate with category managers, accounts payable, vendor risk management office, corporate ethics and compliance teams, information security and privacy, and contingent workforce program team to drive issue resolution and process improvements.

Review legal clauses and handle customer issues along the contract execution path.

Document processes, create, and maintain desktop procedures.

Analyze data and act within the realm of activities as a buyer.

Build and publish weekly/monthly reports for the team and represent the team on various internal forums.

Handle customer relationships effectively, resolve user queries on time, and conduct periodic or need-based reviews with key partners.

Carry out special projects and drive continuous improvements.

Provide due clarity and support to internal partners on procurement policies and standard methodologies.

Own and deliver various projects sought to achieve operational excellence and scalability.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's/undergraduate degree in any subject area; Master's preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement operations with exposure to product and services procurement in at least two categories.
  • Thorough knowledge of procurement processes and experience with procure-to-pay tools like Ariba/Coupa, enterprise resource planning systems like SAP/Oracle.
  • Experience in contract development and collaborating with legal; knowledge of legal terms in contracts an advantage.
  • Working experience in multi-cultural/multi-region shared services or procurement organization a plus.
  • Exposure to reporting and metrics tools like Tableau/Power BI a nice-to-have.
