Role Summary:

This diverse role requires a highly commercial and analytical individual with the ability to get their hands dirty. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Finance function for our Indian subsidiary as well as acting as an analyst for our UK and International Commercial teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute audit of Internal Financial control over financial reporting and prepare internal audit report.
  • Responsible for all accounting related issues, including monitoring financial details to ensure legal requirements are met.
  • Financial reporting and budgeting, reporting to senior management.
  • Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs and manage budget effectively.
  • Responsible for controlling income, cash flow and expenditure, collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information.
  • Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
  • Develop strategies to minimize financial risk and maintain records of debtors and creditors.
  • Responsible for payroll management and providing ROC compliances, annual filing, incorporation of company etc.

Commercial Analyst - perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking for both the Indian business and the wider UK/International business:

  • Daily sales reporting and analysing financial data to create/maintain financial models for decision support.
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Represent Finance within the UK Commercial team to integrate business planning, accounting, and control into the decision-making process.
  • Participate in Finance and multi-function project teams and work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Benchmarking analysis and preparing business cases.

Person specification Including essential skills and qualifications:

  • Strong English language skills, preferably with a qualified accountant background.
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical experience preferable and international company experience.
  • Management experience to include liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as senior management, auditors, suppliers, banks, insurance providers, contractors etc.
  • Highly analytical and self-disciplined, results focused with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and flexible approach to work to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using analytical tools such as Power BI and CRM systems.
