Key Metal Procurement Specialist

We are a leading player in the procurement, processing and distribution of various metal commodities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a proven track record of success in sourcing, negotiating and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Procurement Strategy: Identify and source scrap metal from various suppliers, including industrial manufacturers, demolition companies and recycling facilities.
  2. Negotiation and Sales: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction, while developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients and actively seeking out new business opportunities.
  3. Market Analysis and Logistics Coordination: Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry to inform decision-making and strategy, and coordinate the transportation and logistics of scrap metal shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry, and manage risks associated with supplier contracts, financial transactions and operational activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  3. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients and suppliers.
  5. Strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with trading software and platforms.
