Corporate Interior Project Manager

We are seeking a seasoned project management professional to lead our corporate interior projects in Mumbai. With a minimum of 15 years of experience in the building construction industry and at least 4-5 years of leadership experience managing a team, you will be responsible for managing multiple corporate interiors projects and serving as a point of contact between key project stakeholders from the client side and Space Matrix.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective project management frameworks, incorporating necessary review processes as required
  • Define and implement criteria for control and management of the project
  • Coordinate and direct end-user input throughout the project lifecycle
  • Appraise options and submit to the Client for approval
  • Manage project budget, including risk allowance
  • Monitor and control changes/variations following approval by Client

Team & Site Management

  • Foster teamwork between all project stakeholders
  • Establish a mechanism to ensure collaborative problem solving with the site delivery team
  • Practice sound people management principles to ensure that the team works well and provides a supportive environment
  • Manage the welfare and motivation of direct reports and provide leadership, guidance, and encouragement
  • Plan for and undertake annual performance reviews
  • Establish formal reporting arrangements on project progress

Contract Management

  • Negotiate and convert contracts as required by the project
  • Oversee the award of contracts and ensure the client is adequately protected
  • Chair meetings and ensure minutes are actioned in a timely manner
  • Accurately check and sign-off on payment certificates and invoices
  • Ensure accurate finalisation of client accounts

Client Management

  • Look for opportunities to improve the client's position
  • Identify and resolve disputes quickly and reasonably
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with client representatives and contractors

Requirements

You must have:

  • A degree in Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • The knowledge of individual trades and subcontractors relevant to interior fit-outs
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising on quality and customer satisfaction
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • The subscriber to the Company's core values: teamwork, integrity, and excellence

Salary

This role offers an attractive salary package of ₹1,500,000 - ₹2,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
