The CFT Incharge is a critical role in airport safety, responsible for overseeing Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Crash Fire Tender (CFT) team to ensure round-the-clock readiness for emergency response 24/7.
  • Develop, implement, and review ARFF operational procedures and protocols in compliance with local and international aviation safety standards IATA, ICAO. Ensure all procedures are up-to-date and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular training and drills for the CFT team to maintain peak performance and readiness. This includes simulation exercises and workshops to enhance teamwork and communication skills.
  • Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, and emergency services for seamless emergency response and mutual aid. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Oversee the maintenance and readiness of ARFF vehicles, equipment, and firefighting systems. Ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and serviced regularly.
  • Prepare and analyze incident reports, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures. Conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying causes of incidents and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to ARFF services. Stay up-to-date with changes to regulations and standards to ensure the team is always compliant.
  • Participate in airport emergency exercises and provide expert guidance and leadership during simulated emergencies. Provide critical support to the team during emergency situations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold the highest standards of fire safety and emergency preparedness. Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Provide leadership and support during actual emergency incidents, ensuring a swift and effective response to protect lives and property. Collaborate with other teams to ensure a unified response.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Aviation Management, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Advanced certifications in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) from a reputable organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid ARFF certification from a recognized aviation authority.
  • Valid certification in Fire Safety and Prevention from a reputable organization.
Experience:
  • 10-15 years of experience in the airports industry with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services with a focus on emergency response and firefighting operations.
