Job Title: Intellectual Property Research Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intellectual Property Research Lead to drive high-impact IP research projects and manage a team of patent professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of technical expertise, client-facing skills, and people management to deliver strategic patent insights and support decision-making for global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex patent projects involving invalidation, freedom-to-operate, and patentability searches
  • Conduct technology landscape analysis, white space analysis, and competitor monitoring
  • Deliver insight-driven patent reports supporting strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with global clients to define project scope and objectives
  • Evaluate patent portfolios for legal, technical, and commercial insights
  • Manage and mentor a team of 8–10 IP professionals for quality and productivity
  • Drive client engagement and support business development opportunities
  • Promote best practices, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing

Requirements:

  • 6–10 years of experience in patent research and analytics
  • Prior experience managing a team of 3–5+ members
  • Hands-on experience handling global client calls independently
  • Proficiency in patent search tools (e.g. Derwent Innovation), MS Office
  • Strong analytical mindset, scientific aptitude, and communication skills
  • BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Electronics / Electrical / Industrial Production
