Our team is looking for a highly skilled Chef Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our kitchen.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role and drive success in our fast-paced environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship, with at least 2 years as a senior chef or equivalent.
  • A culinary school degree is essential, and a strong background in management, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills is required.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, coaching, supporting, supervising, and evaluating direct reports, as well as ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:

The following are some key responsibilities of this role:

  • Directs and oversees all kitchen operations, including food production, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Develops and implements effective strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports, including inventory levels, sales data, and employee performance metrics.
  • Provides coaching, training, and development opportunities to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborates with other departments, such as procurement, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manages budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior chef or equivalent role in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
  • Culinary school degree and certification in food safety and handling.
  • Strong management, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and restaurant software.
